Drug makers are making good on their promise to post the prices of their medications online. This is partly related to doing everything they can to keep the Trump administration from imposing more stringent rules on price transparency, according to Bloomberg.
What Does It All Mean?: This a response to the administration’s proposal requiring drugmakers to include pricing lists in TV ads. According to experts, making patients go online is not the same as requiring TV ad disclosures.
“If your aim is transparency, those prices need to be upfront and not require additional action from the patient,” Connecture’s Jim Yocum told Bloomberg.
