Apple recently announced that it would be partnering with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to make the Health Records feature on iPhones available to veterans. Veterans will now be able to view their medical information across participating institutions as well as in the Apple Health app. Health records available to view include allergies, conditions, immunizations, labs, medications, procedures and vitals. The information will also be able to view via the Apple Watch. The medical information is secured with the use of encrypted data and by the users Face ID, Touch ID and passcode.
