WALL STREET COOLING ON HEALTH CARE

Many of the larger health care companies like UnitedHealth Group, HCA Healthcare, Anthem and Humana have all reported exceptional profits in the first quarter of 2019, but Wall Street seems unimpressed. Stock prices have consistently outperformed broader indices, but Medicare for All, the initiative being pushed by some 2020 Democratic presidential candidates is looming heavy on the sector. As one investor put it, Medicare for All is a “utopian pipe dream.”
