JAWBONE HEALTH RAKES IN $65M USD IN FUNDING

Jawbbone Health, a startup derived from bluetooth speaker company Jawbone has raised $65 million in new funding. Jawbone Health offers a “clinical grade” device alongside a medical subscription service to help users catch health problems early on, according to Vox. Though the details of its offerings are unclear, it’s unlikely the clinical grade stamp — which CEO Hosain Rahman flaunts as one of the product’s differentiators — will do much to grab consumers or potential healthcare partners away from entrenched wearable companies.
